Client Private Client Sector Event Discipline Illustration|Art Direction Capturing the imagination of both children and adults, the phenomenon of Cressida Cowell’s 'How to Train Your Dragon' series became the theme for this West London family’s Halloween celebrations. The brief was to art direct an immersive event for six adults and six children; conceiving and executing a themed menu, dressing the room, decorating the dinner table whilst also delivering a range of creative activities to occupy both adults and children throughout the evening. The live brief also encompassed a daily dragon themed drawing workshop during the half term holiday with the youngest member of the family on the lead up to the event. Using a roll of vintage cartridge paper, a striking pen-and-ink hand-illustrated table runner became the central focal point of the event. A dragon themed adult pumpkin carving station, a beauty bar and creative corner were set up to engage the guests, with the children and adults making the contents of their own party bags from their evening’s pursuits.
